Sub-region of Hämeenlinna

The area of Hämeenlinna is located in the southern Finland, in the lake area. The area has been inhabited since the iron age (500 BC - 1200 AD). The government has declared the valley of Lake Vanajavesi as one of the 27 national sceneries of Finland.

The location between Helsinki and Tampere ensures smooth traffic connections - airports and harbours are only an hour away.
